My Dad is 93 years young and still lives independently. He was getting very depressed when the family decided to take away his driving privileges and was actually prescribed medication for depression. I decided that medication would only be used as a last resort and started exploring adult day care options. I noticed that after taking my Dad to Active Life Adult Medical Day Center that his depression has significantly decreased, and his appetite has improved. He tells me that this is a nice place to spend time and enjoys the low stress exercise activities, bingo, and, especially, playing cards. He also enjoys lunch on pizza days.

I’m so excited to write this review about Active Life Adult Medical Day Center. This year has been one of the most challenging years of my life: my brother was diagnosed with dementia. I had so many doors shut in my face, and I couldn’t seem to find anyone (daycare that’s like family) until the Lord blessed me with this place. Active Life Adult Medical Day Center has a very caring staff, nice building, culture, and clean is 100% the best thing that’s happened for my brother and I. All the staff take very good care of my brother who used to sit in his recliner, get into things, talk to himself once home from another daycare. My brother loves the staff especially Jonas and Ray. Also, Bill has a good friend there with dementia as well . Bill is more social , talkative, happier and active with the activities offered. Bill is grinning and laughing when Jonas picks him up in the mornings and happy. Jonas always shakes his hand and says good morning and tells him we’re going to have a good day. Since my brother started going to Active Life Adult Medical Day Center, he’s a whole new person. Bill looks forward to his time there and is excited to go every day. Bill comes home smiling, eats his afternoon snack and dinner, watches his two shows, wash up and goes straight to bed. He’s so tired there is no more roaming in the middle of the night, and when he wakes up, he is ready to go. I tell him that he’s going to work and he goes along with it. I love this place. Thank you for saving my life because I felt like I was losing it. I will be forever grateful to you all. The Zumba instructor and Ray are so wonderful and I enjoy talking to them! They go up and beyond to help him! Every single person there is special and are so kind! It’s such a fun and happy place.
